Had not much expectations for climbon, even though we formed a team. My team, consisting of andrew, marcus, arul and myself. So guess what was our team name.. surely win!, and the person who came out of this name was arul(idea was improvised from ivan's group), which the name was somehow intimidating and pressurizing. I thought we changed the name to single ladies, because mainly because we are all unattached and we are an "all-male" team, but in the end, our team name was team surelywin!...-_-|||

This team name somehow affected everyone's mood and spirit, it was like if we don't win, we felt that we would be shamefully embarassed, and we thought that when we won, we would have live up to the team name. Therefore, our team was pressured to win, and pressure made our perseverance possible. However, we did not consider one factor, this factor came to us before the MC was reading our names... We didn't think what others would react when we went up to receive the prize, andrew was thinking that the crowd may boo us because the top 3 guys from the U18 men enduro cat was in our team, he led me into imagining myself having the audience throwing eggs at me.. Luckily, our wild imaginations did not came true but it was like the direct opposite of what we expected, cheers and photography.

    2nd place: Not Your Team(all RP)
    3rd place: The Super 4(outram)

In 3rd place we have marcus, in 2nd place we have andrew, and last but not least in 1st place we have myself.

The process: In the midst of our team's perseverance, every single one of us were injured by the end of the day. Starting with Arul, fell in between the crashmats resulting in being the first "baikah" on the team. Followed by, Marcus(he did the ball route, and had a super swollen ankle a.k.a "Big Baikah", following that it was andrew and i, andrew- nearly dislocated his right shoulder...while i on the other hand, had swollen joints and muscle pull to climb with as it continues to worsen. I think we really pushed it too far and neglecting our physical conditions.

Andrew and I came back on the 1st Nov to help out as volunteers, because we didnt expect to win and wanted to leave early after that(but we can't just leave like that) , so after we ended our shifts, we head down to macs(for aircon and i wanted to do my tutorials) to wait for marcus(came from church), but neither did i expect that after i finish 3 questions from my tutorial, marcus came and he said that he wanted to watch the open men do those sick routes.. So in the end i was like in macs for only 13 minutes the most, then we head back down to pasir ris park.

Neither did we expect to win the school overall champion..Aller Team SP.





The prize for the overall school winner for the under18 cat was a finger board and a few vouchers.

Anyway the whole ClimbOn!  experience was worth it, made many new friends through this process, and strengthen the bonds between many climbers. I felt that these 2 days arul, marcus, andrew and I got closer, and felt sorry for neglecting some people(i tried my best to talk to everyone liao).After we receive the prizes my team was like trading vouchers, so in the end everyone was happy and everyone get what they wanted.
When the event has finally ended, we head down to whitesand's burger king to settle our dinner. The four of us ordered the XXL swiss challenge meal(andrew's idea), it was creamy and awesome. Even when i'm blogging now, i'm still salivating over it, ARGH.

Happy days are here, when shall i start, what should i do. Went to catch Inglorious Basterds with Chuan and Arul [Haven't 18]..This was the second time I've watched this show..

So why did i emphasize on [haven't 18]?, because something rare had occurred. Arul got stopped by a sibei gui lan GV staff.. here's how the story goes after he checked arul's ic...

GV staff: "Hey you are under 18, this is a M18 movie, please pick go back to the counter staff to change to another movie!"
            as usual... those u18 will say.. ah my birthday this year wad.. etc*
Arul: "I'm 18 this year, why can't i watch here?"

GV staff: "Oh, we go by the birthday.., please proceed to the counter staff to change your ticket"

Arul begs...*chuan and I were like smiling...

So he changed to a G Force ticket, so here's the plan, arul went into the cinema which screens Inglorious Basterds, and then later Chuan and I went in..

We thought we were smart by smoking the staff, since Chuan and I had a rare opportunity to tease arul, Chuan bluffed Arul that the staff came into check, arul was like damn scared la..

Never did we expect, that the staff really came into check.

GV staff: " Excuse me, Can I see your ticket?"

Arul:" Oh, i lost my wallet.."

GV staff: "Erm your show is at Cinema One, not cinema Three."

Arul:" Huh? I thought this was cinema one.."

so he was chased out to cinema one to watch G-force, at the same time the students behind us was check too, (arul somehow sabotaged them...)so they were chased out too..

so when the show started, arul and the students sneak back in.. (:






Today's training with sue ann was nice, I think I've found a sparring partner, means training will be harsher but I'll improve faster (: I don't want to make the same mistakes like how I made in rockamania.. Conditioning was fun, love hardcore, but I'll be more motivated if I see people around me happy. Life now is like a virus to me, I tend to get affected by people, and find it hard to find a cure... Sacrifices are always made for everything, if I truly want to be strong I will neglect my friends.. I rather be mediocre like that.. decisions are sometimes hard to make. Are all these things I've done so far been meaningful? Should i just go or give it all up

My classmates ask me on Thursday morning to watch harry potter on friday night, which i agreed them on.. I didn't went the last time when they ask me so I shall not go back on my word, and on Thursday evening, my rock climbing mates, Iman and Jay wanted to watch it badly, so I accompanied them, the show was at 2140 so it ended about 12 midnight plus plus.




And guess what, there were neither train services nor bus services...


and as we walk from marina square to cityhall, we noticed that the blockages were prepared for the upcoming GrandPrix...

anyway, this is a picture i found from the net.. it would be this grand on the actual day itself..


so we decided to sleep in macs, but then my parents happen to call me, wanting to pick me up, so jay and iman took a lift to school to enjoy their sleep there.. while I happen to sleep on my luxurious bed :)

even dumbledore look so sian.. sigh.. this movie has too many conversations, less action-pack, and dumbledore died..
I think because he can't make any money out of this movie anymore.. as he will not be seen likely in the next 2 movies..

So why did I watch it 2 times?
because when I watch it the first day, I slept for a while and miss some parts, so I decided to confirm whether I missed out any important parts.

On Friday night, after watching it with peng, bin, koon and joel, we went to LAN at Paradiz.. it was the first of time this year and I found myself bored for the first time in the LAN shop.. 

Oh man, I'm still super tired..

I'm turning 18 soon, can't wait to get both driving and motorbike license.


Just a few hours back then, Noel, Chuan, Yong, Yong Li, Hilman, Rafe, De Ming and Ivan, along with 2 spectators: Iman and Jay climbed and boulder(a bit) at SMU, it was totally awesome, better than the high wall at Climb Asia.

Yesterday, Iman, Jay, Karsten and I decided to go Dairy farm to climb, but we ended up in school playing RISK, and a little climb. This was caused by procrastination, we decided to meet in school at 2pm, however karsten came at 4pm so we ended up climbing in school.

After that we went to orchard to get something as a present for andy. Andy's party was held at a cool place at orchard Parklane Suite @ Goodwood Park Hotel. Andy's cooking was awesome, I've never tried those dishes i saw yesterday. Argh shit, should have brought my cam to snap some shots. So we ate, drank and played pictionary. Haroz was there trying to make andy drunk, but we stayed till 1130pm. Ok, I admit that Andy is a good drinker.

Then we went to Karsten's sister's Birthday to hang out, ate BBQ and played taidi. The loser of the round has to take the special concortion made by the previous loser. However, during the past few games we had with iman, and the game we had with him yesterday. It was scientifically proven that Iman will jinx the person after him. The first 5 rounds, iman lost consecutively, and he was made to drink his own concortion. Karsten and I was on a winning streak. Jay has not been winning because he sat after iman. So he decided to swap place with iman, making Karsten after him. Then for the next two rounds, karsten lost consecutively causing him to drink his own concortion. Then Iman swap place with me, but jay don't wannabe jinxed by iman so i was made after iman. . . Guess what, my winning streak was lost from 4-0, to 4-3. I had to drink my own concortion: BBQ sauce, with chicken wing, with orange juice, and sotong. I spammed too much sauce, so i had difficulty drinking it. Looking back to the game of risk, Jay lost too because he sat after iman. Jay said that we must bring iman to the casino and let him sit before the banker, to make us win big :) .  So folks out there, if you're playing games with iman make sure you sit before him, not after him, because he is jinx!!! ARGH.

I can still feel the residue taste of the salty BBQ sauce, yucks!

Today drew and I went to starbucks to study, we saw daniel and kenneth around there. Both left church, but I'm hoping they would be coming back?

After that, we went to Changing Appetites to settle our dinner with esther and KP.

It's a pretty cool place located at marina square, the seats are comfortable and the food floods my stomach.

After dinner we went to catch transfomers 2, and it was my second time watching... ARGH.

This month I spent quite a sum on movies... but at least out of this 4, one of them was treated :)

Ok, after the movie, drew, esther and I wanted to go to giraffe for a drink, but the problem was that they close early on weekdays. Due to our laziness to walk, we ended up buying cocktails from 7-eleven and drank at istana park. We played 5 10 there and enjoyed ourselves.

 

This afternoon i went to ClimbAsia to climb with arul. I was shag after climbing 3 routes, I think it was caused by the overloading from the RockMaster event. Today was the day I resumed my climb after climbing the intermediate qualifying at RockMaster. The JC students were not even there on a wednesday, arul and I were the only poly students climbing there :) . Oh the emptiness in CA, reminded me of my upcoming exams, I'm so gonna study tomorrow!

After that, Arul, Iman, Jay, Jiuk Yong, Yongli, _ _ _ _ _ _ and me went to watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Oh the movie was superb and hilarious. The storyline is exciting. I'm totally looking forward in the next Transformers movie. Transformers 1: shows megatron searching for the cube, and now this time, Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen, shows the Fallen searching for the matrix *note: the Fallen is actually a name of the decepticon. Hmm, and I'm going to watch with my batch mates again tomorrow night! I shall not be a spoiler so PLEase Watch it yourself!

It's been a while since I last posted. I was too busy with RockMaster 2009 and had very little time to study.

The finals and the open qualifying was held there. Tedious preparations were made to make the event a successful and a memorable one. SPRC team spend most of the nights over at the barrage. The overnight at the barrage was somehow unwanted but an enjoyable one. Marina barrage is a wonderful place to spend the night at, I enjoyed the pleasant scenery on the fields, and loved the windy sensation in the night. These are the cool lighting effects I created for the event.






In the morning, while taking my break from hardwork I gazed upon these magnificent kites. It was breezy as I look upon the wondrous skies.

The dark blue sky, it seems as though its gonna rain, but luckily not a drop at all, it's good that the weather didnt chase the crowd away :)


The event turned up all successful, I did almost every role you could name: wall crew, wall painting, route judge, route setter, spotter, lighting crew, movers, setups.


And to those people who didn't help out at all, or free loaders, you can go screw yourselves.

Anyway, congrats to all those who won, and try again next year for those who tried their best. Congrats to Noel for getting first in Novice Men, congrats to Laila for getting third in Novice Women and Congrats to Hilman for getting first in Intermediate Men. People it's time to move on!


As I was talking to Andy Domingo, he told me he saw my video on youtube, the video which I thought no one took for me. Here it is.. Thanks to climbersassociation!

Anyway it was just my first route that was taken, and that was the compilation of what intermediate men qualifying is like :)

I'm totally psyched after the competition but however, I think I'll do pretty bad for the upcoming MST... die.
-hunger to climb,deprived by studies.

Yesterday, I sent my laptop for repair because of the white screen problem. After that,the SP climbers went to Climb Asia and conquer the walls. SP walls are down and we cant climb in our base in preparation for RockMaster. Knowing that SP climbers are in CA, Shawn drop by and meet us. I just found out she's attached with someone without the looks and I wonder whether it will affect my climb on RockMaster.



Climbing is like studying, if I help others, I will be at the losing end. Sometimes I feel like helping others but my motive sometimes stop me from helping. Iman told me that if I want to be stronger I must climb with stronger people, but at the same time, I will neglect my climbing buddies. I felt guilty for not accompanying you guys, please try to understand where I'm coming from.



After the long day, Iman,Jay and I went to watch Terminator Salvation! It was an awesome show worth watching, it seems that there will be another terminator movie, because the story does not end there. I thought Terminator Salvation would be the last movie, but it seems to me that the movie just keeps getting better.
